Piglet Management; survival and mortality

My last training session was heavily focused on helping a client reverse the negative trend of piglet mortality on his farm. This is a common drawback encountered by pig farmers in Nigeria.

High piglet mortality prevents the farmer from fully enjoying the economic benefits of the piggery business. Here are the most likely factors that cause piglet mortality

  • Low birth weight

  • Diarrhoea

  • Mastitis

  • Sow savagery

  • Sow crushing

  • Wet or dirty farrowing pens

  • Poor farrowing pen design

All these factors are easily avoidable, if you wish to reduce Piglet death on your farm, you can book a Training session with me.

Cost of Training is 40,000 Naira.

Training is available as a 3-day Program (on the farm) .
